LIMITED WARRANTY FOR UPHOLSTERY

TIP: You can increase the longevity of your furniture by not sitting on the arms or allowing children to jump on the seating area.

Each Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams employee stands behind their product, which is handcrafted with careful attention to detail. We sincerely believe each piece of furniture will provide you with years of pleasure and comfort. To reinforce this belief, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams warrants to you, the original purchaser of a piece in the original fabric or leather (for slipcovered furniture, this is fabric that covers base of piece, usually muslin), the following Limited Warranty Coverage:

UPHOLSTERY FRAME AND SPRINGS

Either WOVEN WEBBING, RIGID SHEET WEBBING, DROP-IN SPRING UNIT, and/or SOLID SEAT constructions are warranted to be free of defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product under normal residential care and use. This warranty is only valid as long as the furniture is upholstered in its original fabric. For slipcovered furniture, this is the fabric that covers the base of the piece.

PLATFORM BED FRAMES

These are warranted to be free of defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product under normal residential care and use. This warranty is only valid as long as the furniture is upholstered in its original fabric.

Children should not operate the platform bed mechanism without adult supervision.

TUFFET INSERT

These are warranted to be free of defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for one year under normal residential care and use as a footstool or extra seating. Warranty does not apply to damage caused by cuts, punctures, stains/spills, abuse, prolonged exposure to sunlight, or outdoor use. Only valid as long as Insert is enclosed in original fabric or leather cover (Hair on Hide and Tibetan Fur are considered “leather” covers) or in a replacement cover purchased from MG+BW. (Replacement cover does not extend insert’s warranty).

Note: All lining materials conform to the shape of the users over time; this is considered normal and not a defect.

TUFFET COVER

A tuffet cover including seams and zipper, is warranted to be free of defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for one year under normal residential care and use as a footstool or extra seating. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by cuts, punctures, stains/spills, abuse, prolonged exposure to sunlight, or outdoor use.

FABRICS AND LEATHERS

These coverings are traditionally NOT guaranteed against wear, fading or shrinking. Fabrics are used in so many different types of settings that might affect them in different ways. We offer a limited warranty on all our fabrics and leathers. They are warranted for a period of one year against defective material or workmanship as well as unusual wear resulting from normal residential use and care. This warranty does not cover wear, fading, shrinkage, or stretching that can occur with normal use of most fabrics and leathers.

Note: If you choose to have fabric/leather protection or other chemical treatments applied to your purchase, most of them will have their own warranty—which will replace and void this warranty.

Fabric/leather damage or failure due to aforesaid chemical treatments, heavy soiling, or improper cleaning are not covered.

CUSHION(S)

Technology has dramatically improved over the last few years, and we feel that cushioning is really where comfort and longevity come from. Thus, we warrant all cushion cores for manufacturing defects, and we cover cushions to not collapse for the lifetime of the item with normal residential use, not including regular wear and tear; All foams and lining materials will soften and conform to the shape of the user—this is considered normal and is not a defect. 

SEAMS

We reinforce seams using the latest sewing technology. Any defects in workmanship should appear within the first year of use. Therefore, we are confident to warrant our seams as free of defects due to faulty workmanship for a period of one year under normal residential care and use.

MECHANISMS

We warrant our sleeper, swivel, rocker, and recliner mechanisms (all metal parts) to be free of defects for three years from the date of purchase, under normal residential use.

We warrant our Storage Platform Bed mechanism for two years from date of purchase under normal residential use. The limited warranty on all our mechanisms does not include damage due to transportation or consumers "jumping" on them.

All bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets, etc.) must be removed before closing sleepers or warranty will be voided. Customer assumes all freight charges to/from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams after the first year.

Furniture in which any of the above defects occurs will be repaired or replaced at MG+BW's option. If repair or replacement is not practical, at the option of MG+BW, alternate financial remuneration may be paid or the product may be substituted. This remedy is exclusive and MG+BW does not authorize any person to create for it any other obligation or liability in connection with this furniture.

This Limited Warranty applies under conditions of normal residential usage only and does not apply to defects or damage resulting from (a) negligence, abuse, or misuse; (b) inadequate or improper maintenance, cleaning, or care; (c) exposure to chemicals and/or liquids; (d) accidents; (e) any use for which the product was not designed.

Transportation, delivery damage or any damages occurring while moving to another residence are excluded, and will have to be handled with the carrier. (Sorry!)

Upholstery covers are made of inherently natural component materials. Differences in texture, color, or appearance among textiles and leathers after the finished product leaves the factory are not within the control of the manufacturer, nor considered defects under this Limited Warranty.

Natural color changes, exposure to extreme temperature changes and direct sunlight may cause color changes and/or surface damage and are not covered by this Limited Warranty. Leather is particularly subject to variations in color and markings, and such variations are not covered by this warranty.

This Limited Warranty applies only when you purchase the MG+BW furniture from an MG+BW Authorized Dealer for your own use and terminates in the event of resale.

This Limited Warranty does not cover (a) floor samples or products designated "AS IS" at the time of purchase, and (b) differences between floor samples or differences from printed illustrations, video, or internet displays.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights, which vary from state to state. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED. MITCHELL GOLD + BOB WILLIAMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

LIMITED WARRANTY FOR LUXE PET BEDS

TIP: You can increase the longevity of your Pet Bed by restricting its use to your pet(s), and not allowing children to stand or jump on the frame or seating area, which could also be dangerous to the children.

Each Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams employee stands behind their product, which is handcrafted with careful attention to detail. We sincerely believe these Luxe Pet Beds will provide your pet with years of pleasure and comfort. To reinforce this belief, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams warrants to you, the original purchaser of the piece in the original fabric, the following Limited Warranty Coverage:

LUXE PET BED PLATFORMS – PSS & Walnut

The PSS (Polished Stainless Steel) Platform refers to the external frame that holds the Walnut platform and pet bed up. The Walnut Platform rests on the interior of the PSS frame and holds the pet bed cushion up.

These two platforms, PSS and Walnut, are warranted to be free of defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for one year, from date of original purchase, under normal residential pet use. This warranty is only valid as long as the Pet Bed is upholstered in its original fabric.

Children should not be allowed to stand or jump, or in any way abuse the Pet Bed frame, under any circumstances, which could be harmful to the Pet Bed and also dangerous to the children.

LUXE PET BED CUSHION

Technology has dramatically improved over the last few years, and we feel that cushioning is really where comfort comes from. We warrant our Luxe Pet Bed cushion cores not to collapse for a year from date of purchase, as originally upholstered under normal residential pet use. All foams will soften and conform to the shape of the user – your pet - this is considered normal and is not a defect.

Also, please note, chewing, ripping and discharge of bodily fluids and waste are not considered “normal residential pet use” for our purposes. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION TO THE MATTRESS DUE TO DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOURS SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CHEWING, RIPPING, AND DISCHARGE OF BODILY FLUIDS AND WASTE.

SEAMS

In addition to this Limited Warranty, you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED. MITCHELL GOLD + BOB WILLIAMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

After one year, customer assumes all freight charges to/from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, either to original store of purchase or to factory if purchase made online.

LIMITED WARRANTY FOR TABLES/STORAGE (CASE GOODS)

Each Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams employee stands behind their product, which is handcrafted with careful attention to detail. We sincerely believe that this piece of furniture will provide you with years of pleasure. To reinforce this belief, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams warrants to you, the original purchaser, the following Limited Warranty coverage:

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams warrants its wood products and all its case goods to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Furniture in which such defects occur will be repaired or replaced at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams' option. If repair or replacement is not practical, at the option of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, alternate financial remuneration may be paid or the product may be substituted. This remedy is exclusive and Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams does not authorize any person to create for it any other obligation or liability in connection with this furniture.

Customer assumes all freight charges to/from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams after the first year.

For clarification purposes, the term "wood products" refers specifically to Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Case Goods products and has no implication, directly or indirectly, to any Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams products utilizing upholstery or leather coverings. Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Case Goods products are those products listed and displayed exclusively in the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Case Goods products catalog, in printed form or as displayed on the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams internet web page.

This Limited Warranty applies under conditions of normal residential usage only and does not apply to defects or damage resulting from (a) negligence, abuse or misuse; (b) inadequate or improper maintenance, cleaning or care; (c) exposure to chemicals and/or liquids; (d) accidents; (e) any use for which the product was not designed. Transportation or delivery damage is excluded, and will have to be handled with the carrier. (Sorry!)

Wood furniture is made of naturally variable raw materials. Differences in grain character and color among wood species are naturally occurring variations and are not within the control of the manufacturer nor considered defects under this warranty. Natural color changes, exposure to extreme temperature changes and direct sunlight may cause color changes and/or surface damage and are not covered by this warranty.

Power supplies and other electronically related components are warranted by each respective manufacturer and are excluded from this Limited Warranty.

This Limited Warranty applies only when you purchase the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams furniture from a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Authorized Dealer for your own use and terminates in the event of resale.

This Limited Warranty does not cover (a) floor samples or products designated "AS IS" at the time of purchase (b) differences between floor samples or differences from printed illustrations, video or internet displays or stone items, since stone is a non–manufactured natural substance and no two pieces will match in color or pattern.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED, AND MITCHELL GOLD + BOB WILLIAMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

DREAM MATTRESS WARRANTY AND CONSTRUCTION

DREAM 12” PLUSH MATTRESS

10-year warranty, guaranteed, non-prorated (full coverage for 10 years against manufacturer’s defects only) under normal residential use with proper support. Mattresses in which such defects occur will be repaired or replaced at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams option. If repair or replacement is not practical, at the option of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, alternate financial remuneration may be paid or the product will be substituted.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to the following circumstances:

  1. Normal wear and tear, including damage to the outer fabric of the cover. We recommend the use of a quilted protector pad to act as a barrier against stains.
  2. Stains, burns, or abuse of the mattress or foundation/box spring.
  3. Handles torn from border fabric. Handles are for positioning, not lifting.
  4. Damage to mattress or foundation/box spring from improper support.
  5. All mattress sizes , Queen, King and Cal-King, require approved support systems, such as our matching foundation, storage platform, adjustable bed base, built-in box spring platform, Eurostyle platform, or box spring with a strong arm support, to satisfy the warranty.
  6. Mattresses that have not been properly rotated on a regular rotation schedule. (See “Longevity” section of this Warranty).
  7. Body impressions are a normal occurrence in a new mattress and are not structural defects, nor covered by this warranty. Body impressions can be minimized by properly rotating the mattress.
  8. Negligence, abuse, or misuse.
  9. Any use for which the product was not designed.
  10. Transportation or delivery damage is excluded and should be handled by the carrier. (Sorry!)

If repair or replacement is not practical, at the option of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, alternate financial remuneration may be paid or the product will be substituted.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to the following circumstances:

MATTRESS LONGEVITY

Dream Mattress

Dream Mattresses need to be rotated (180 degrees) only once a year for longevity purposes.

Mattress label must always be in "right-side-up" position". Never use the mattress with the label in the "upside-down" position. (DO NOT FLIP OVER)

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams rugs are handcrafted with careful attention to detail. We sincerely believe that this rug will provide you with years of pleasure and comfort.
