About the artist: A Chicago-based painter, photographer, and printmaker, Barbara Lewis explored Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art, often referring to the urban landscape of Chicago. Working as a curator, docent and running her own studio and deeply inspired by Fernand Leger, Barbara enjoyed experimenting with new techniques and materials- often finding my joy in the process then the end result. Fearless in combining mediums and always embracing the accidental in her works and despite the burden of Parkinson’s Disease, Barbara continued creating art until her death in November 2008.

About Lost Art Salon: Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay, the Los Art Salon specializes in the rediscover of historically significant artist and the curation of fine art collections reflecting the major styles and movements of the Modern Era. Successful artist in their own right, co-owners Gaetan Caron and Rob Delamater work directly with families and estates to rediscover works by artist who might otherwise be “lost” to time.
